Function: planUpdate()

function planUpdate(changes, opts): Set<Stage>;

Experimental

Merge the edit flags of every changed path into the set of stages to run.

calcIfAutorange becomes calc when an axis of the changed trace autoranges (or when that cannot be determined), else plot. none contributes nothing. The returned set holds only the declared stages; use expandStages for the full downstream closure a pipeline executes.
