Type Alias: LayoutInput

type LayoutInput = BaseLayout & object;

A layout as FigureInput takes it by default: the base layout attributes (axes, margins, …) typed, and any other attribute (those of registered components and traces, such as legend or barmode) accepted as it is. The full bundle's Layout types those too. title takes the attributes the title component adds (subtitle, pad, …).
